How Email Extractor Lite handles data.

Effective May 14, 2026. This page should stay aligned with the in-app Privacy Policy shown inside Email Extractor Lite.

Overview

Email Extractor Lite is a local-first macOS app for collecting, verifying, sorting, and exporting email leads from websites, mailbox headers, pasted text, and files you explicitly choose.

The app is designed to do most processing on your Mac and does not depend on a proprietary cloud backend to store your lead database.

Data the app may process

  • Website content from URLs you enter.
  • Pasted text, HTML, JSON, and imported file contents.
  • Mailbox header content from accounts you authorize.
  • Email addresses, source labels, provider classification, and MX verification results.

Network activity

If you crawl a website, the app requests pages on that site and may follow same-site pages, subdomains, and sitemap entries when available.

If you verify a domain, the app uses public DNS infrastructure to check whether the domain appears to accept mail.

If you connect Gmail, Outlook / Microsoft 365, or Yahoo Mail, the app uses those providers' OAuth and mailbox APIs with the account you approve.

Files, exports, and notifications

Files are only read after you select them through the macOS file picker. Exports are only written to locations you choose.

If you allow notifications, the app can send local macOS notifications when extraction, import, or verification completes.

Retention and responsibility

Any lead data you keep depends on what remains stored on your device and what you export. You are responsible for securing your Mac, files, and connected accounts.

You are also responsible for complying with privacy, anti-spam, and data protection laws that apply to the way you use the app.
